A thoughtfully scaled two-bedroom mountain retreat. European-inspired planning, warm wood finishes, and flexible spaces create room for everyday comfort and visiting guests.

Valley View Cottage is a two-bedroom mountain second home designed and drawn from the ground up by Steven. The first in a series of thoughtfully scaled mountain houses, it uses an efficient, European-inspired plan with eight-foot doors, warm wood, and high-end finishes.

Flexible Living for Owners and Guests

The family room centers on a gas fireplace and a built-in daybed that adds flexible sleeping space. Both bedrooms accommodate king beds, and each has a full bathroom with a walk-in shower. Designed primarily for two people, the cottage can accommodate five to six when guests visit.

Everyday Comfort at a Cottage Scale

A compact, practical kitchen, dedicated laundry, and two full bathrooms support everyday use. The covered deck extends living outdoors. Careful planning makes the smaller footprint feel comfortable without losing the details of a custom home.
